 Sean Barnes is a Registered Nurse & Paramedic with over 30 years of teaching experience. He began his career as an EMT in 1988 and eventually became a Paramedic. He attended nursing school at Auqinas College in Nashville, TN and graduated in 2006. He has worked as a nurse in the Emergency Department and as an Emergency Manager. He currently works as a Simulation Nurse Educator at the Nashville VA Medical Center.

Wanting to be able to do more for his community, he attended a CPR Instructor class in 1990 and fell in love with teaching and has been doing it ever since. His many years in the medical profession brings a level of real world experience to the classroom that greatly benefits his students.

He is currently certified to teach Basic Life Support, Heartsaver CPR, Heartsaver Adult & Pediatric First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Bloodborne Pathogens, Advanced Medical Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, BLAST (Babysitter Lessons And Safety Training) and Pet First Aid.

His motto is: "In my classes you're going to learn something and have fun doing it!"

  Kim Strickland is graduate of Enterprise State Junior College with a degree in music. She is a professional musician and Travel Agent. Whenever she's not busy singing with her band or booking travel for corporate executives, she can be found walking her dogs or teaching CPR for EMS Educators.

Kim has been teaching CPR since 2005 and loves the interaction that she has with her students. A real people-person, Kim has a great rapport with the students in her class and her unique way of teaching not only ensures that her students learn something, but also have a good time doing it.

Kim is currently certified to teach Basic Cardiac Life Support, Heartsaver CPR, Heartsaver Adult First Aid, BLAST (Babysitter Lessons And Safety Training) and Pet First Aid.

 Drew McDuffie is a former Paramedic and current Registered Nurse. He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Biology & Chemistry in 1999, then received a B.S. in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2022. Over the years he worked as a researcher for several pharmaceutical companies before attending nursing school at Calhoun Community College, graduating in 2009.

Since then he has worked as a travel nurse, serving the Native American population in New Mexico and Arizona. He currently works in the Intensive Care Unit at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Drew is new to the world of CPR instruction, however he has quickly honed his teaching skills and is on his way to becoming an excellent instructor. He is probably one of the most intelligent people you will ever meet and his intimate knowledge of the human body's functioning definitely gives his students a unique understanding of how our bodies respond to CPR.
